Working from Home: Here's How to Make the Most of It!
Making the Most of Working from Home
Many of us have been working from home for quite some time now. What was a real adjustment at first has now almost become the norm in the office. Under the theme “Working Well from Home,” today’s blog post explores how you can set up your workspace to be both functional and truly comfortable. We’ll also share plenty of tips and tricks for staying focused and making the most of your breaks.
Create a Beautiful Home Office
To be truly productive, it’s important to have a pleasant work atmosphere. This includes making your workspace cozy and appealing. Of course, a desk, laptop, printer, and a comfortable office chair are absolute must-haves when working from home. But accessories, beautiful decor, flowers, and cozy rugs also contribute to a good work environment. Depending on the interior design style, modern short-pile or high-pile rugs are popular choices for the home office. Whether in eye-catching patterns, simple colors, natural materials, or truly colorful and bold prints: there are no limits to your imagination, and a special atmosphere in the room is guaranteed.

Tips for Staying Focused While Working from Home
Some people working from home are tempted to let themselves get distracted. But it doesn't have to be that way.
Our tip: Try to block out distractions while you work. Keep only work-related items near your desk. Neither your personal cell phone nor food or drinks should be at your workspace. Clutter is distracting and can hinder your efficiency. Don’t sit at your desk in sweatpants. Your usual office outfit can work wonders. To ensure optimal conditions for working from home, tidy up your desk every evening so you can start the next workday with enthusiasm and energy. Set specific time blocks for work. Stick to your work hours and don’t let other things distract you. Set concrete work goals for each day and praise yourself for your achievements.
Take regular breaks
Take regular breaks when working from home. Whenever things get particularly hectic, it’s a good idea to take a short break and slow down. A cup of coffee or tea, some fresh fruit, or a quick walk outside can all be great ways to take a break. Or simply doing nothing—or taking a short power nap—can give you a real energy boost.
Working Healthily
Be careful not to sit too much. If you have a height-adjustable desk, you can alternate between sitting and standing at regular intervals while you work. If you don’t have that option while working from home, you can try to change your sitting position more often in other ways. Putting your feet up, doing stretching exercises, or even regularly raising your arms in the air—all of these are easy to do while working from home and are good for your health, too.

To boost creativity and productivity while working from home, choose a rug that matches your decor and complements your furniture. The more comfortable you feel, the easier it is to tackle your to-do list. Working well from home is even more enjoyable with modern rugs. Even if you don’t have a dedicated home office, you can create a cozy workspace within your own four walls by placing a small rug in front of your desk.
